Interested in learning to dive but not quite sure if you want to pay for an entire dive course or maybe you just do not have five days to commit to a dive course? Perhaps a Discover Scuba Diving course may just be for you! Le Grand Bleu staff starts off on land explaining how to assemble the gear and all of its functions. We then walk right off the beach into the ocean and practice breathing through a regulator, clearing the regulator of water, regulator recovery, inflation and deflation exercises of the BCD (buoyancy control device), and mask flooding and clearing. If all goes smoothly off the beach then we shall continue onto the reserve, Rose Garden. Rose Garden has a maximum depth of 6 meters. The instructor and student will swim around the dive site for approximately 30 minutes (time dependant upon students breathing rate) experiencing what it is like to feel weightless underwater and of course searching in all the nooks and crannies for the shy lobsters and crevasse dwelling fishes. The entire course lasts between 2 hours and 2.5 hours. If you complete the skills circuit satisfactorily and the open water dive, you will receive credit towards you open water diver certification.
